Bring the relevant text (s) to each review/exam evening, along with a pencil/pen etc...


June 17th 6pm ~ 9:30pm at Seattle Scuba - Classroom

Class Orientation + Lecture on Chapters 1, 2, 3 of DM Manual

Homework: Chapters 1, 2, 3 of DM Manual


June 21st 6pm ~ 11pm at Seattle Scuba - Classroom/Pool

Lecture on Chapters 4 & 7, Stamina Evaluations + DSD (If time allows)

Homework: Chapters 4 & 7 of DM Manual, DSD Cue Card, Discover Scuba Instructor Guide

Bring full snorkel/scuba gear for pool


June 28th 6pm ~ 11pm at Seattle Scuba - Classroom/Pool

Lecture on Chapters 5 & 6, Scuba Review, Discover Scuba Diving

Homework: Chapters 5 & 6 of DM Manual, Scuba Review Workbook, Scuba Review Instructor Guide Bring full snorkel/scuba gear for pool


June 30th 6pm ~ 10pm at Cove 1, West Seattle - Open Water

Practice Dive Site set up/Guiding Practice, DSD, Skin Diving

Homework: Search and Recovery section of Advanced Open Water Manual

Bring full snorkel/scuba gear for open water


July 11th - 6pm ~ 10pm at Cove 2, West Seattle – Open Water/Classroom

Deep Dive, Discover Local Diving, Dive Briefing, Final Exam Part 1

Homework: Review Chapters 1 – 7 of the DM Manual, Prepare a short (~ 5 – 8 minute briefing for a local site)

Bring full snorkel/scuba gear for open water


July 14th – 6pm ~ 10:30pm at Seattle Scuba – Classroom + Pool

Physics, Physiology, Awareness of the Dive Environment Lectures, Skill Circuit, Scuba Review, Equipment Exchange

Homework: Chapter 9 of the DM Manual Corresponding Sections of the Encyclopedia of Recreational Diving

 

July 25th – 6pm ~ ?  at Seattle Scuba – Classroom 

Decompression Theory, Equipment, Awareness of the Underwater World Lectures

Homework: Chapter 9 of the DM Manual, Corresponding sections of the Encyclopedia of Recreational Diving


July 28
th – At Cove 2 - 6:30 to ~ ? - Bring Scuba gear + 2 tanks

In Water Wrap up + Final Exam Part 2 + Dive Briefing

Homework: Review Dive Theory, make sure you can tie the knots, get your dive briefing ready

Internship

 DMCs need to join 1 pool training session, 4 weekends with Open Water classes, 1 other class (Drysuit, Advanced, Rescue etc...), & 1 Club Dive or boat trip. If there is space on the schedule, you are welcome to join more. In order to intern with an Advanced class you must have completed the Deep Dive training exercise AND have clearance from Heidi.
