Our Club shore dives are free, no cost dives open to all divers
(Unless the dive site has entry fees). If you are new to Puget Sound diving, don't have any dive buddies, or just
want to get together for some diving fun, come join us. We generally meet at the dive site with the gear we
need. Bring your own buddy or let us introduce you to some new ones. If you need rental gear for the dives you would
need to make arrangements to pick it up at the shop prior to to the dive.
Our club doesn't have any meeting
or membership rolls that take up valuable time that could be spent underwater, we just go diving! We would love to have you
join us. Our dive staff will be on site to
lend you a hand if you need it. Be sure to check in with our staff and sign in if you are participating in our club
dive. You don't have any excuse now not to go diving. It's free.

December
Club dive - Redondo Beach Park - December 6th ~~~~ Open to all divers with cold water experience ~~~~ Meet at the school at
9:00am or at the site at 10:00am. Dive site is in the Des Moines area ~ 20 minutes South
of Seattle. Great place to see octopus, grunt sculpins, and many more... on a recent dive there some of our staff
same a huge stubby squid and stopped counting at 9 sailfin sculpins. Check out the newly reopened Marine Science center
on the pier while you are there. 2009 Shore Dives
January
Club dive - Alki Junkpile -January 25th
~~~~ Open to all divers with cold water experience ~~~~ Meet at the school
at 10:00am or at the site at 11:00am. Over in West Seattle this dive site is a nice change from the coves,
but it is not as often diveable due to being more exposed to currents. There is a line with various debris, along which it
is not uncommon to see Ling Cod, Shaggy Mouse Nudibranch, Octopus and other inhabitants of our waters. Also, Pacific Spiny
Lumpsuckers (Eumicrotremus orbis), one of the cutest and oddest fish in Puget Sound, have been sighted in the eel
grass at this site.
February
Club dive - Edmonds Underwater Park - February 22nd ~~~~ Open to all divers with cold water experience ~~~~ Meet at the school at
9:00am or at the site at 10:00. Dive site is in Edmonds ~ 20 minutes North of Seattle. A marine preserve for many years, this is a great site to see huge fish and all kinds of critters. A little bit of a swim,
but worth it for the life you can see here. Some of the biggest rockfish around live here, and there are numerous small wrecks
and other interesting features to explore.
March
Club dive - Redondo Beach Park - March 22nd ~~~~ Open to all divers with cold water experience ~~~~ Meet at the school
at 9:00am or at the site at 10:00am. Dive site is in the Des Moines area ~ 20 minutes South
of Seattle. Great place to see octopus, grunt sculpins, and many more... on a recent dive there some of our staff
same a huge stubby squid and stopped counting at 9 sailfin sculpins. Check out the newly reopened Marine Science center
on the pier while you are there.
April
Club dive - Alki Pipeline - April 19th ~~~~ Open to all divers with cold water experience ~~~~ Meet at the school at
8:30am or at the site at 9:00am. This is another nice local dive site over in West Seattle. It is
fairly shallow and typically has great ambient light for photography. Critters to be seen here include lots of nudibranch,
moon snails, other invertebrates and many fish. The tides this day necessitate diving farily early in the day, so if
you need gear come get it on Saturday.
May
Club dive - Seacrest Beach Park Cove 2 - May 17th ~~~~ Open to all divers with cold water experience ~~~~ Meet at the school at 9:00am or at the site at 10:00am. A
great site for beginners and the familiar haunt of many experienced divers. This site is home of the wreck of the Honeybear,
the penguin boat, the I-Beams and variety of fish and invertebrates including at times some of the most enormous Giant Pacific
Octopus seen in the area. All within 15 minutes of Seattle.
June
World Oceans Day Club Dive and BBQ - Redondo Beach Park - June 14th
~~~~ Open to all divers with cold water experience ~~~~ Meet at the beach at
11:00am.
Family and friends, divers and non divers alike are all welcome. This is the only club dive each year
where we close down the school and all go to the beach to play. If you need gear come by and get it on Saturdat. Then meet
us at the beach on Sunday with your gear and something to throw on the BBQ. We will have a couple of BBQs set up you can use
if you like, or you can bring your own. July Club Dive and BBQ - July 12th ~~~~
Open to all divers with cold water experience ~~~~ The Edmonds Oil Dock is being pulled down,
so we have to find a new place for our second BBQ. Location TBA.
August
Club Dive and BBQ - Harper's Ferry/Dock - August 16th
~~~~ Open to all divers with cold water experience ~~~~
