Kid's Camps and Birthday Parties
Diving is NOT for grown-ups

The Scuba Schools Group offers a full range of Kid's Camp activities. From half day scuba experiences for a child's birthday (or anytime) party, to multiday kid's scuba certification programs, our Kid's programs are the experience of a lifetime. We have SCUBA and snorkeling programs for kids as young as 6 years old. Give your child a party or summer camp activity that he or she will never forget.

SCUBA Certification Camp / Snorkeling Camp / Birthday, Pool Parties

SCUBA CERTIFICATION CAMP

SCUBA Certification camps can be arranged for kids 10 years of age and above. There is an inherent danger in entering any aquatic environment without proper training. Every year children, and adults alike, are injured in what are easily preventable accidents. The Scuba Schools Group SCUBA Camp is designed to provide a safe, simple training program for those interested in what lies under the surface of the world's seas. It is intended to satisfy the interest that many young people have about the underwater environment. During the program the participant will become certified in scuba diving and gain skills and knowledge in the following areas;

  • Water Safety; The participant will be introduced to the basic skills necessary for safe snorkeling, skin and scuba diving. Participants will practice the skills of skin and scuba diving with our professional diving instructors.
  • Dive Equipment Usage; Great emphasis is placed on proper use of safety equipment and techniques. Participants will learn about the various types of scuba diving equipment.
  • Ocean Environmental Concerns; During the program the instructors will relate to the participants the knowledge necessary to evaluate a wide range of ocean environmental factors.
The program is usually set up to run 3 or 4 days. We will do 1 or 2 days of pool training and academic preparation, depending upon the number of kids in the group. The last two days will be spent at the beach doing the ocean training dives. Upon completion of the program, the diver will receive the PADI Junior Open Water Diver Certification. All kid's SCUBA certifications require that they dive only with an adult.

For our summer camp programs we supply all diving equipment for the participants to use. They do not need to purchase anything and there will be no additional rental charges.

SNORKELING CAMP
Skin Diver Certification Camp

Our Snorkeling Camp is designed for kids 8 to 16 years old. The Camp is designed to provide a safe, simple training program for those interested in the skills of skin diving. It is intended to satisfy the interest that many young people have about the underwater environment.

The snorkeling camp can be organized to run 2 to 4 days long (4 hours per day). During the program kids will be introduced to safe snorkeling techniques as well as be given the opportunity to try SCUBA diving in a controlled pool environment under the supervision of a professional PADI Instructor. Through games and enjoyable water activities, kids will become comfortable with the equipment and skills necessary for safe snorkeling and skin diving.

During the program the participants will gain the PADI Skin Diver Certification and gain skills and knowledge in the following areas;

Although the kids will be given the opportunity to try SCUBA diving, this program is not intended to be a SCUBA certification program. Kids will however, receive the PADI Skin Diver Certification. DISCOVER SCUBA
SCUBA Diving Birthday Parties
The Discover Scuba Program is a 2 to 3 hour program in which participants are taught the skills necessary to try scuba in the swimming pool under the guidance of a professional PADI diving instructor. During the course we will introduce the participant to basic usage of the standard SCUBA equipment in use today. With a qualified PADI Instructor, the participant will learn regulator usage, mask clearing techniques, ear equalization techniques and be given the opportunity to try SCUBA in the safe confines of a pool. These can be set up as birthday parties or anytime pool parties. Parties can be arranged at your pool or ours.
