The PADI Medic First Aid course is designed to teach you how to save lives. In the course you will learn the same emergency procedures used by paramedics and doctors. You will learn the essential skills of Primary Assessment, Rescue Breathing, C.P.R., Control of Bleeding, Shock Management, Continuing Circle of Care, Illness Assessment, and Injury Assessment. Skills of patient care are taught in the same sequence they are actually used, which results in the student feeling less anxious about using their skills in a real emergency.
A study done in Seattle, Washington followed the outcome of over 500 cardiac arrest patients. The study showed that if basic life support CPR was started within four minutes, and advanced life support was provided within eight minutes, 51% of the patients could walk out of the hospital, back to meaningful life. However, when basic life support CPR was delayed more than four minutes and advanced life support more than eight minutes, only 5% left the hospital. This alone should make you want to take this course! In only eight hours or less, you too can learn the simple skills necessary to save a life.
Regular classes offered at our training facilities in Seattle, San Francisco amd Monterey. We can also arrange for an instructor to come to your facility.
