Open Water Diver Training Course
The Adventure Begins

Welcome to the Underwater world!
Learn the basics and begin investigating the secrets of the sea.

PADI (The Professional Association of Diving Instructors) is the largest diver training organization in the world, issuing nearly 80% of the diver certifications being issued worldwide. This makes the PADI Diver Certification cards the most widely recognized certification cards in the world. The other agencies may be fairly large in their home areas (NAUI & SSI in the USA, BSAC in Britain, JUDF in Japan, to name but a few) but their cards may not be well recognized in other parts of the world. In some areas divers holding cards from other agencies may be required to do a checkout dive or, in fact, may not be allowed to dive at all. If you want a truly, International diving certification, PADI is the way to go. Whether you choose us or another facility with which to begin your training, always insist upon PADI.

Our PADI Open Water Diver Course is the entry level program through which most people begin the adventure of diving. The course begins with an interesting, interactive CD ROM Home Study program. Upon completion of your home studies you will then embark on an adventurous diving excursion where you will learn about the skills and equipment necessary for safe, enjoyable diving. Course schedules vary slightly depending upon which of our facilities with whom you choose to complete your training. You will begin with practice in a swimming pool, this will be one session of about 6 hours, or two sessions of about 3 hours each. The remaining two days will be at an actual dive site used for recreational diving. Upon successful completion of the training you will receive the PADI Open Water Diver Certification. During this excursion you will practice with the dive equipment under the safety and guidance of your professional PADI instructor.

In only 3 or 4 days, you can become a PADI Open Water Diver.

You have the choice of completing your water training at one of our group training facilities in Seattle, San Francisco, San Jose or Monterey. All you need do is check our Training page to see which of our diving excursions fits your needs.

(You will also be eligible through our Tropical Resort Certification Program to complete the water training at one of our affiliated facilities in Hawaii (Oahu, Kona & Maui) , or at any of thousands of PADI Dive Resorts worldwide.) Before you know it you will be enjoying the beauty of the underwater world.

Our instructional staff are all professionally trained and certified diving instructors averaging over 20 years diving experience. Every one of our instructors has been through weeks of intensive instructor training. Along with being some of the best divers in the world, our staff have also had extensive training in educational theory and philosophy, curriculum development and learning theories, water safety, diving safety and environmental education. In an effort to be prepared for any eventuality, all of our instructors have been trained in water rescues, CPR and First Aid. The majority of them in fact, have completed training and hold certifications as CPR/First Aid instructors.

Dedicated to making diving safe and fun, our staff works hard to make our programs memorable experiences. Their professionalism, level of knowledge, experience and caring attitude will give you an experience you will remember throughout your life. The knowledge and experiences gained will give you the ability to safely enjoy the aquatic environment anywhere in the world.
