EFRI, (Emergency First Response Instructor Course) is a prerequisite for the IE and is not included in the Standard IDC. If you are a PADI Divemaster, or hold a professional rating with another recognized training agency, who has over 60 logged dives and have been a certified diver for over 6 months, then you’re ready to become a Professional PADI Dive Instructor!
You have Three options to choose from in our IDC Program. Standard, Deluxe and Premium Programs We also offer two different IDC schedules. For Seattle area residents, who cannot get weekdays free, we offer an Evening Program on evenings and weekends. For people coming to Seattle for the program (or residents that want to get it completed in the shortest time possible) we offer a Full Immersion Program that is two weeks of full days. Register Early: All of our programs require prestudy of the Online IDC and Dive Theory programs. In order to give yourself time to complete the prestudies, it is necessary that you register for the program and receive your study materials at least two weeks prior to the start date of the program. It is highly recommended that you register earlier than that once you have made the decision to join our program. Our IDC programs are all inclusive. ALL tuition fees, ALL registration fees, the PADI IE (Instructor Examination) and ALL application fees. There are no extra charges! Most facilities list only course tuition fees when advertising their instructor programs. You are not told about the $1500 to $2500 in PADI materials, application fees and IE fees that will be added on later. Our pricing includes everything. There will be no other charges involved in your quest to become a PADI Diving Instructor. Your success is important to us! Our Standard IDC Program offers all elements of the IDC, all materials, all PADI application & IE fees. Our Deluxe IDC Program offers everything in the Standard IDC Program plus, EFR Instructor Course and a number of workshops to help you tune your skills. The EFR Instructor Course is a prerequisite for participation in the PADI IE. If you do not already hold the EFR Instructor rating it is included as part of our Deluxe and Premium IDCs. Our Premium IDC Program offers everything in our Standard & Deluxe Program plus the Master Scuba Diver Trainer Prep Course at a 20% discount. In the MSDT Course you will gain Instructor Certifications in five of the most in demand Specialty Courses. Emergency Oxygen Provider, Deep Diving, Night Diving, Drysuit Diving, Underwater Navigator. During all of our IDC programs you will learn to use the PADI system of diver education in the classroom, pool and open water as you gain the skills and knowledge to become a PADI Instructor. Along the way you will review your rescue skills and participate in a number of enjoyable workshops focusing on a variety of skills, tips and techniques needed to become a PADI Instructor. All of this training will help to prepare you for your upcoming Instructor Exam and career as a Professional PADI Dive Instructor. What can I do after the IE? Upon successful completion of our IDC and IE you will be authorized to teach these PADI certification courses;
Upon completion of our Premium IDC and IE you will be qualified to teach everything in the Deluxe IDC above as well as;
You will not find more comprehensive IDC programs anywhere. Upon completion of any of our IDC programs you will be qualified to assume a position as a Professional PADI Instructor anywhere in the world. Unlike most resort facilities, Seattle Scuba is a full service Dive Center. Should you join our Premium IDC and choose to participate in the Retail Dive Center Internship during the course, you will gain even more valuable knowledge in the workings of a full service dive center. You will gain information that will be extremely valuable to you as you apply for positions at dive centers and resorts around the world. More advantages to doing your IDC at Seattle Scuba. Seattle Scuba IDC Alumni will be welcome to join any of our ongoing Specialty Instructor Courses at 50% off the tuition for the program. Seattle Scuba Alumni working as independent Instructors will receive 50% discount off any rental gear needed for themselves or their students when renting from Seattle Scuba. Seattle Scuba Alumni will receive substantial discounts off PADI training materials purchased at Seattle Scuba. Although we cannot always hire every Instructor who does training with us, Seattle Scuba Alumni will be given first consideration in hiring when we need to bring new instructors on staff. |
