​Pricing on our AI program includes ALL PADI materials, registration and application fees.  There are no extra charges!

Most facilities list only course tuition fees when advertising their Assistant Instructor programs.  You are not told about the $1200 in PADI materials and application fees that will be added on later.  Our pricing includes everything.  There will be no other charges involved in your quest to become a PADI Assistant Instructor.  Your success is important to us!

Register Early:
All of our AI programs require prestudy of the Online materials.  In order to give yourself time to complete the prestudies, it is necessary that you register for the program and receive your study materials at least two weeks prior to the start date of the program.  It is highly recommended that you register earlier than that once you have made the decision to join our program.

The Assistant Instructor program is the first portion of the Instructor Development Course (IDC).  In the AI program you will continue the adventure toward becoming one of the most sought after dive professional in the world.  PADI has set the standards by which the world learns to dive and by earning the Assistant Instructor Rating you will join the ranks of dive professionals teaching the most popular diver training programs in the world.

Are you ready?

In the AI program you will learn some basic information to be able teach your future students with confidence. Some of the topics will be:
  • General PADI Standards
  • PADI Materials and System of Instruction
  • Diver Safety and Risk Management
  • How to Develop Teaching Presentations
Time Commitment:
  • Minimum 6 evenings classroom and pool training
  • Minimum 2 days classroom and open water training
Prerequisite:
  • Dive Leader certification — PADI Divemaster or leadership-level certification with a recognized recreational diver training organization
  • Experience in night diving, deep diving and underwater navigation.
  • 60 logged dives
  • 18 years old
  • Medical clearance attesting to dive fitness signed by a physician within the
    previous 12 months.
  • Certified diver for six months.
  • EFR Primary and Secondary Care course completion within the last 24 months.
  • If not a PADI Divemaster, complete the PADI Divemaster course diver rescue skills assessment.
  • Submit documentation of qualifying certifications for entry level, advanced, rescue and leadership level, as necessary
