Seattle Scuba is the only PADI Instructor Development Center in the Pacific Northwest with
Two Full Time PADI Silver Course Directors on staff.
Where other facilities have contract Course Directors who show up only to teach the Instructor Course, Our Two Course Directors are both full time instructors. They are here 24/7 to answer your questions and assist you in fulfilling your goals. Combined, our Course Directors bring over 60 years of dive training expertise to our Instructor Development Courses.
You will not find a more experienced training team or a more thorough, more professional Instructor Course.
We offer two different IDC schedules. For Seattle area residents, who cannot get weekdays free, we offer an Evening Program on evenings and weekends. For people coming to Seattle for the program (or residents that want to get it completed in the shortest time possible) we offer a Full Immersion Program that is two weeks of full days. You can also begin the program at our partner facility in Tulum, Mexico and complete it here in Seattle.
Our IDC programs are all inclusive. ALL tuition fees, ALL Materials Fees, ALL registration fees and ALL application fees. The only additional charge will be the PADI Instructor Examination Fee which is payable directly to PADI when you attend the IE upon completion of the IDC
If you are comparing prices be sure to get all the costs. Most facilities list only IDC course tuition fees when advertising their instructor programs. You are not told about the thousands of dollars in PADI materials and PADI application fees that will be added on later. They also don't tell you about the Emergency First Response Instructor Course and it's materials you must complete as a prerequisite to taking the Instructor Examination (IE).

You will not find more a comprehensive IDC program anywhere. Upon completion of our IDC you will be qualified to assume a position as a Professional PADI Instructor anywhere in the world.
During all of our IDC programs you will learn to use the PADI system of diver education in the classroom, pool and open water as you gain the skills and knowledge to become a PADI Instructor. Along the way you will review your rescue skills and participate in a number of enjoyable workshops focusing on a variety of skills, tips and techniques needed to become a PADI Instructor. All of this training will help to prepare you for your upcoming Instructor Exam and career as a Professional PADI Dive Instructor. What can I do after the IE? Upon successful completion of our IDC and IE you will be authorized to teach these PADI certification courses;
