The Staff Instructor course will take you through the training necessary to staff PADI IDC’s. This program enhances your teaching and evaluation skills to bring you up to IDC staff levels. The first segment of the course is conducted prior to an actual IDC, and candidates then participate in an entire IDC to develop evaluation and counseling skills through guided training. A qualified IDC Staff Instructor is certified to independently teach PADI Assistant Instructor courses, assist in instructor-level training and has taken one more step to becoming a Master Instructor. Course Materials:
Our course includes classroom, pool sessions, and open water dives. All course materials are additional. PADI IDC AUDIT IDC Staff Instructors may choose to audit an IDC in order to gain valuable and required experience in the PADI Instructor Development process. If you are giving thought to joining the Course Director program you will need to audit a minimum of three IDCs prior to application to the program, and you will want to audit as many IDCs as possible. The knowledge and skills you will gain will be invaluable in the successful completion of the Course Director Training Course. There is no certification for the audit although they will be recorded with PADI Headquarters. Upon full audit of a Seattle Scuba IDC, course completion paperwork is submitted to PADI and kept in your permenant records. These audits will then be on record toward meeting the prerequisits for the Master Instructor Rating and Course Director Training Course.
