At the same time, the market for dive instructors is competitive and like any competitive market, the best jobs tend to go to the highest qualified applicants. When pursuing a career in diving it is critically important that you stand out from the crowd. A competitive market requires you to have a competitive advantage. This means you need to do more than to have the best theoretical knowledge, top level skills and a better understanding of the business of diving, you need to be a step above the competition. After certification as a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI) you can kick start your career by becoming a Master Scuba Diver Trainer. Being able to teach PADI Specialty Courses makes you more valuable as an employee (making it easier to find work), gives you more variety in your teaching, and gives you better income opportunities. Also, as you take advantage of our MSDT offer, you will find that you can achieve the higher Instructor rating of 'Master Scuba Diver Trainer' and really get a head start! This course can be completed in as little as 4 days and allows you to teach up to 5 specialty courses immediately. Then, upon issuing 25 diver certifications (any areas), you will be entitled to the rating of the Master Scuba Diver Trainer. Through participation in the Seattle Scuba Instructor Development Courses you will already be at the head of the competition. Through completion of the Master Scuba Diver Trainer Course you will take the lead and be well on your way to a successful career as a PADI Instructor.
