The more you know about the marine environment, the more interesting your diving will become. The Underwater Naturalist course will get you started in recognizing and identifying marine life in all it's varied forms, especially the invertebrates, of which we have so many in this area.

We will talk through the general classes of critters that exist worldwide, then focus in on identifying the invertebrates that live in this area, from the Giant Plumose Anemone that we all know so well, to the hard to find Sea Spider.

Dive requirement: An evening/afternoon of classroom + 2 Dives in 1 day.

Prerequisite: Open Water Diver

This class follows the REEF curriculum for the Pacific Northwest, and Seattle Scuba is a REEF field station.
